After 45+ years in business, today our employees are our biggest asset. Some of our people are second-generation employees. We have over 100 years of combined experience in the standby generator business.

Our History

In April of 1974, James A. "Tony" Rowland left a career with an electrical engineering firm in Columbia, South Carolina to begin a new career in the generator business. Tony joined the new Kohler distributor for North and South Carolina - Carolina Power Systems, Inc. as their new Service Manager for both states. The spring of 1976 brought many exciting changes for Tony and his wife. They decided to move back to their hometown of Lincolnton, Georgia after the birth of their son, Jim, and begin a new company named J&T Service Center, Inc.
